It is time every single person on this planet starts dealing with an epidemic that is contributing to crippling preventable disease and premature death of the people of our world. Each one of us could make a difference and reduce the horrifying effects of this epidemic if we simply take responsibility for ourselves and our own health and well-being.

What’s this epidemic you may ask? It is physical inactivity that contributes to the fact that one out of every two people in this world has a chronic disease or illness and many of them have multiple conditions. Many others are not sick but are certainly not well – suffering from tiredness, apathy, lack of energy and lack of motivation to be active.

At least 60 percent of us are overweight or obese further contributing to ill health and premature aging. A whopping 388 million people worldwide are predicated to die of modern chronic disease in the next decade.

This habit of laziness is so imbedded in our lives that children being born today are predicated to have a reduced life span of 20-30 years. Is this the legacy that we will leave to our young people along with the greatness of our technology driven lifestyles? Is this a fair trade off; are we all happy about this?

Maybe we should all be setting a good example to our young people that we need to do certain necessary things for our bodies to remain healthy and disease free. That if we fail to do this we are then exposing ourselves to the probability of cutting our life short with one of the big three – heart disease, cancer or diabetes or any one of dozens of other “lifestyle” diseases.

You see, the human body is hardwired to be extremely active and needs the action of muscles being worked hard to stimulate the necessary hormones that tell every single cell in every tissue and body part to repair, rebuild, replace and renew. Without this stimulation there can only be decay, deterioration and degeneration which allow life threatening diseases to take hold.

This information is out there, we have known about this for year’s – even decades. Why would the powers that be not be pushing for changes to be made? Perhaps this situation is influenced by the financially driven medical establishment. Are a continuing flood of sick people necessary to keep this profit motivated system afloat?

The only way we can make the changes necessary is to take the bull by the horns and look after ourselves and our own families. We need to get out of being doctor and drug reliant and use the simple effectiveness of proper exercise as preventative medicine. This along with eating a natural whole food diet as much as possible would go a long way to us staying healthy.

A proper exercise program that contains strength building and maintaining exercise is all it takes. Just 2-3 sessions per week of the right exercise performed at the right intensity will give our body the tools it need to stay healthy and well.

Surely nobody would want the fear and sheer terror of a life threatening disease or illness. When fully informed about the risks one takes with a no exercise and junk food lifestyle isn’t it common sense that most people would do what is necessary to avoid an early death.

If you decide to make the necessary changes in your life and make your strength and fitness a priority as it should be there are fitness professionals available to help you get started. For exercise to work it has to be done properly, don’t be mislead that a walk in the park is going to do the job as it won’t.

If we all got started and got healthy imagine how many $60,000 heart bypass operations we could cheat the surgeons out of. How much satisfaction we would get if we knew that they wouldn’t be able to buy their new Lexus car each year? Join the new rising revolution in wellness and help make this happen.
