Priorities – Health and Fitness Matters

The priorities we place on everyday tasks and activities and the values we associate with each one of them is determined by the programs running in our minds…our “mind software.

For better or worse, truth is, our deep-seated food and exercise related values and priorities effectively run our lives.

Rewrite Your Programs –

The key to real transformation begins with awareness.

We can’t change what we don’t know. Before we can rewrite any program, we must first become aware that it exists. You can do this by stepping back and observing your choices from a neutral, honest place, where it becomes obvious that you’ve been operating on autopilot, choosing convenience over vitality, comfort over growth.

Awareness shines the light that allows you to consciously rewrite your script and choose again.

There are two behaviors that are mandatory to anyone seeking body and mind health and fitness.

Engaging in regular, proper exercise that includes strength training, and…
Enjoying quality live foods (non-processed)

These two behaviros are vital to losing weight, keeping it off and maintaining and enjoying better health for years to come.

With this in mind, the first question we must address if we want to shift our lives towards stellar health is to examine how much value and priority we have placed on these two important behaviors.

If we are currently unhealthy and overweight the likely cause is we have not placed enough value or importance on lifestyle behaviors in the past, the ones that would otherwise keep us fit and healthy,

Tghese low priorities reflect in our actions or lack thereof.

Think of your body as the home your soul lives in. You can decorate it, ignore it, or honor it—but it’s still where you live, there’s no escaping that.

Health is not a task to check off a list, it’s a relationship to nurture for life.

When you begin treating your body with respect, feeding it with love and movement rather than guilt or punishment, you’ll find your entire energy system shifting.

The reality is, if you hope to live a long productive life and dance into your nineties you are going to have to place high priorities and high values on what you eat now and how much exercise you get now in order to stay strong well into the future. Because your now is your future.

Where to begin? –

It’s true that nearly 90 percent of the work required to shift your life towards stellar health and fitness is done on the inside first, however, it doesn’t stop there…you must follow through with physical action…they work hand-in-hand to get the job done. They are a team.

When we make a conscious effort to increase our health values, the ideas of healthier eating and regular proper exercise automatically move up a few notches in our value system and our beliefs and perceptions begin to shift.

Additionally, the better care we take of ourselves the higher our motivation levels climb as well until one day they become unstoppable.

Momentum –

Momentum builds quietly at first. The first few days of new habits may feel challenging, but soon your body begins to crave what’s good for it. You wake up with more energy, you start noticing small victories, and suddenly what once felt difficult begins to feel natural. These small actions compound, creating a self-sustaining cycle of vitality that feeds your confidence and joy.

Once your mind is aligned with your goals and your beliefs and perceptions are working with you…not against you then “follow through” with action becomes much easier to perform.

It doesn’t matter what sort of beliefs you may or may not have about your after-life. The only thing that matters is what you are actively doing to enjoy the life you are in. You are either actively participating in helping yourself to achieve health and fitness or you are contributing to its neglect.

This isn’t rocket science. Deep down you already know that eating a balanced diet of high quality whole foods, drinking the freshest, cleanest water you can find and engaging in regular challenging exercise is the key to stellar health, preventing disease and dancing into your nineties.

Here’s the key: Once you make that inner decision that your health is non-negotiable, everything else falls into alignment.

You begin organizing your day differently, saying yes to habits that support your energy and no to those that drain it. This is where real power lives—in the consistency of daily choices that build the foundation for a vibrant, fulfilling life.

So, what are you waiting for? It doesn’t matter if you have never made health a priority in your life before. Don’t look back…focus on the now and do it today. Refuse to settle for less…know that your perceptions and beliefs are dictating your value system and your priorities and they in turn are dictating how you direct your life.

It starts and ends with you. You can get someone else to think up your plan. You can get them to write it up for you, but YOU must perform the action. No one can keep health and fitness at the top of your priority list but you.

You must own your health and fitness in your mind first and when you do, your actions and your life will automatically reflect this.

The best is not behind you. It’s just getting started.
