Wanting to get personally fit or lose some excess weight is an admirable desire. However, having little to no motivation to do it can be a frustrating experience.

Unfortunately, problems with motivation levels are often caused by the part of us that instinctively resists change – opting for the assumed “safe option.” This is because humans, for the most part, have an “independent streak” and don’t like being told what to do. In the end, well-meaning friends, doctors, partners or others trying to impose change in our world, only serve to strengthen the very part of us that wants to remain the same!

Truth is, it’s passion that drives change and passion comes from within. It matters not what others think, say, or do – any type of permanent change is an “inner job” not an “outer job,” putting us in full control.

We are the only ones that can supply the reasons for our personal change. We must motivate and convince ourselves that we have plenty of genuine, valid reasons for wanting to improve our fitness/ health levels or lose weight. This is, in fact, the only way to experience lasting change in our lives no matter what our goals are.

Wishing for greater mental clarity, more stable emotional health or higher levels of energy all bundled up in a fantastic toned and strong body?

It can all be yours but you must make up your mind and decide, without waving, that you really do deserve to look and feel your best and then you must tenaciously stand firm in your decision to not settle for anything less no matter what obstacles try to derail you.

It’s all an exchange of energy. Nothing worthwhile, nothing “good in life” simply drops into your lap – you must decide what it is you want from life and GO GET IT with determination and resolve.

Don’t Settle for Anything but the Best –

Why spend the remainder of your days trapped in a body you are not happy with? Why settle for less from life and live like those who take their health for granted? It’s time to leave poor health, body weight issues and emotional instability to those with low self-worth – those whose destroyed self-esteem won’t allow them to practice healthy self-care.

Sadly, those that employ self-destructive elements/habits in their lives are, in fact, giving their health the “finger.”

The power to flip the switch and go after something better for yourself and your life lies solely in your hands. Even if you’ve never made health and fitness a priority in your life, no matter what your current age, you can begin benefiting from making healthy decisions about your life now, but you must stop looking outside of yourself for answers that only lie within.

You are the only person you have control over and the only person that can benefit from your passion to live a higher quality of life is YOU. You must adopt the point of view that settling for anything less than the best for yourself is nothing less than disrespectful and undeserving of yourself. You can no longer view health and fitness as an “option” …it must be a priority.

When you decide to ditch your “feel-bad,” out of shape, heavier-than-it-should-be body and reach for a feel-good, energetic, strong, slim body, you’ll do more than just decide to put into effect a weight loss strategy that pays off.

You’ll make a declaration about who you are and what you are prepared to accept for your life. Simply losing a few pounds will no longer be the end-all.

Now, it’s about putting your health first…about looking after you long-term.

Short-term diets and useless exercise regimes that provide no long-term results will fall by the wayside in favor of adopting healthier eating plans and proper strengthening type exercise (for vital muscle building and maintenance) because you now realize that these are sustainable, long-term solutions that can be maintained as part of a healthy lifestyle without struggle.

Wouldn’t it be great if all we had to do was turn to others for answers? Wouldn’t it be great if they could help us “see the light” or we could help others with the same thing? But the truth is, although others can entice us, we are ultimately responsible for our own lives and it is through our personal thoughts, words and actions that our “dream life” manifests…not through what others believe, say or do to or for us.

Remember, “the results/effects show on the outside, but the cause/controls are on the inside.” Get the inside right and the outside follows suit.

It’s time to right the wrongs you have committed against your body. You can regain vitality, muscular strength, endurance and lead a higher quality of life beginning now…
